Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Available In The UK For £1,799

One of the more anticipated and spoken of pre-release ‘leaks’ – the Galaxy Z Fold 2 from Samsung was finally formally announced earlier this month, August 5th, 2020.

While this release did not include anything regarding the official release date or the price, a promise to share more information on September 1st was made.

Fast forward to the last week of August and the Samsung UK Retail website displayed the Galaxy Z Fold 2 – for the low low price of £1,799. Pre-orders are available and are slated to ship by September 17th.

The Price

If you are an American like me when you first saw the price realized a conversion was needed followed by my jaw dropping when I realized it is $2399 USD.

Craziest thing is that this is actually a hundred or so dollars cheaper than the original. We do not have official confirmation about the USD price or availability at this time.

Cool – What Is Different From The Original Fold

Just like any good sequel, the hope is to be better than the original although not always does idea come to fruition.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is addressing some of the complaints and ‘lessons learned’ from the original Galaxy Fold but the verdict remains out pending a full hands on review of the device.

A larger screen both inside and out, more durable with better cameras and improved performance – pretty standard ‘upgrade’ from the looks of it.

Many early access reviews are already starting to surface with the anticipation of the US unavailing Tuesday September 1st, 2020.
